Summary: John thinks Rodney's asleep - perhaps not.
Author's Notes: This was written for slashthedrabble  challenge Speechless. Currently un'beta'd. Nicked a line from my first fic and whizzed in the blender.

John looked at the softly snoring McKay. Rodney had finally succumbed to sleep after a straight 72 hours of frantic work.

John leaned over and stroked a stray hair from Rodney’s forehead. He stared at the relaxed face of his sleeping friend for a long thoughtful time before leaning in and gently grazing his lips where his fingers had touched.

Rodney’s eyes fluttered open. He smiled. Slowly he bought his hand to the side of John’s face. John opened his mouth to speak but Rodney gently placed his thumb over the lips and softly stroked away any thought of words.
