You are most welcome! We are so of an age aren't we! *big smile*
Mr Butler played Creedy, Quinn's best friend and side kick - "One thing worse than a Dragon - Americans!" - before being rudely torched whilst trying to rescue the kids in the castle.
He's also the one doing the play for the kids with Quinn based on The Empire Strikes Back...
I have Clangers on DVD and Chorlton on vid. Love 'em.
We certainly seem to have watched the same programmes! Yesterday Chris Moyles was squeeing over having met Avon from Blakes7 at an award show and I was jumping up and down in the kitchen shouting 'Paul Darrow, I love you!' (I'm odd like that ;) then my head nearly exploded when he played the theme tune!
Oh and the outcome of me trawling through that theme tune site and getting all nostalgic was that I ended up checking out ebay for the dvd boxset of Love for Lydia (on TV in the late 70's, starred Peter Davison - this was when I first fell in love with him - and Christopher Blake - yeh, another crush!) and I managed to win a set for £10! Not had a chance to sit down and watch them yet, am saving them for a night when the hubby's out and the kids in bed, then it will be a bottle of wine and some nice chocolate!
I haven't actually seen Reign of Fire yet - it's one of those film I've wanted to see but not enough to actively seek it out (mainly because Matthew McConaughey makes me want to stick pins in my eyes). I love anything about dragons - and Christian Bale is a bonus ;)

And now...THE CLANGERS!!! OMG! My childhood bliss. (the Soup Dragon!!).
Was Gerard in Reign of Fire then? (or was that just a random Butler hair squee ;).
And The Hewlett's bottom!! Truly this was a post of genius - me and my big smiley face thank you :)
