Oh Boy......
Jul. 22nd, 2006 09:37 amBig deep breaths, big deep breaths....
The Hubby has just disappeared with three climbing pals and loads of gear to attempt Mont Blanc in France.
I know he's trained and sensible and all that but I still have butterflies everytime he does this. He's got two guys who have never tried a mountain of this size before and one experienced climber. Hubby has tried and failed twice ( due to weather circumstances beyond his control) and I'm hoping it's third time lucky for him.
He took me out to dinner last night and asked how I coped when he was away climbing. I think he's worried 'cause this time around I'm still under the weather with the slipped disc, pain and not walking properly, still not back at work and he doesn't want me worrying about him. I lied thru my teeth and said I don't think about it, you've just gone away with the other mad fools climbing, that's it,that's all.
So, I'm looking for major LJ distractions as I will be thinking about him until he's back safe. And no, can't ask him to stop 'cause it's part of who he is. This is my problem, not his.
He said I could spend time with "my two blokes".....which is exactly what I plan to do. Need distraction!
My two blokes......
.......as he calls them.
